This is HOT

Set against the bohemian backdrop of the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, "Eastsiders Season 2" is a comedic look at the hip millennial population struggling to navigate life, love and making the rent. "Eastsiders Season 2" was written and directed by actor, writer and director Kit Williamson ("Mad Men"), who also stars in the film as Cal, an ambitious young photographer who navigates the complex world of modern gay life with his boyfriend, Thom, played by Van Hansis ("As The World Turns").

The pilot episode of "EastSiders" made its debut on YouTube in December of 2013 to critical acclaim and viral success. The full series was subsequently picked up for distribution by the LGBT cable channel Logo. The complete 9 episode first season premiered on their online platform LogoTV.com and received numerous accolades, including the title of Best Web Drama at the LA Weekly Awards, Best Ensemble from the Indie Series Awards and a Satellite Award nomination from the International Press Academy.

In 2014 the series was broadcast as a feature film on Logo's cable channel and acquired for DVD and VOD distribution by Wolfe Video, North America's oldest and largest LGBT distributor. Demanding more of the show, "EastSiders" fans donated more than $153,000 to a Kickstarter campaign to help create a second season of 6 half-hour episodes that has is now available on DVD from WolfeVideo.com for only $24.95.

Is being in love enough of a reason to stay together? After their four-year relationship was torn apart by infidelity, Cal has moved out of the apartment he and Thom shared in Silver Lake. Against their better judgment they have started to see each other again, but they no longer trust each other (or themselves) to remain completely exclusive. Over the course of the season, Cal and Thom experiment with opening up their relationship in an effort to determine exactly what kind of couple they want to be.

The ensemble expands to include Cal's eccentric sister Hillary (Brianna Brown) who descends upon his apartment after getting dumped by her boyfriend and immediately falls into an emotionally codependent relationship with Ian, who is on the rebound after finally breaking up with Kathy. Jeremy has fallen on hard times due to missed deadlines at work and too many trips to the marijuana dispensary, and has to move in with his sister Bri (Brea Grant) and her wife Vera (Vera Miao) and take care of their kids while trying get back on his feet. Overwhelmed with her responsibilities as breadwinner, Vera begins a sexual affair with Ian behind Bri's back. Rounding out the ensemble is Quincy (Stephen Guarino), an eccentric party promoter who can't stop performing long enough to connect with Douglas (Willam Belli), an aspiring drag queen and door girl that might just be his match. Season two will explore what it means to fully commit yourself to another person, as relationships end, begin and change inexorably.
