Demi Lovato comes in peace, and the singer and actor wants everyone in the world to think about how they can better keep the peace — including with those out of this world.

A few of her thoughts? People should stop using the word "aliens." According to Lovato, who identifies as nonbinary, its a "derogatory" term for extraterrestrials and should not be used to refer to anything, reported CNN.

In an interview with the Pedestrian to promote the upcoming docuseries exploring life beyond "Earth, Unidentified with Demi Lovato," Lovato shared that they believe life beyond Earth most likely comes in peace.

"I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to do that to us, it would have happened by now," they explained. "But I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That's why I like to call them E.T.s!"

According to Lovato, the purpose of the docuseries is to give "an understanding of how much we need to take care of our planet and how much we need to learn how to expand our consciousness."

We are making progress, Lovato said, but "you know, any progress is progress!"
