While excitement for HBO's "Euphoria" resulted in nabbing a handful of Emmys, filming for the season two of the series won't begin until 2021 — which means that it likely won't air until later in the year, or even 2022, IndieWire reports.

The eight-episode series snapped up Emmys for star Zendaya for Best Actress, as well as for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

Filming for season two was set to begin in March, just prior to the coronavirus pandemic shutdown. In an August appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Zendaya teased a possible pandemic-related episode:

"We might end up doing a little bridge episode. I don't really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in a safer environment so we have something to live on until we are able to go into Season 2."
