Kicking off 2020, Smith shared a pic of themselves by the water, sitting shirtless on a boat. In the caption, the Oscar-winner urged fans to celebrate their bodies in the new year.

"Feels so good to have my top off on holiday. Spent all my life hiding my body from the sun," Smith wrote. "The last year my skin has been soaking in that LIGHT. Don't let anyone or anything stop you from feeling that kiss from above you beautiful humans."

Smith made headlines in 2019 when they opened up about their body issues and dealing with fat shaming they've experienced. They also came out as gender non-binary and genderqueer while revealing they underwent liposuction when they was just 12 years old. The singer also shared another post in April 2019 about their body, writing: "Feeling bloated and gross after my flight so thought I'd post a mirror selfie of my sexy bloated boobies coz we are friends. Finally."
