Andy Cohen Said This About Sarah Jessica Parker Being His Met Gala 'Date'

Andy Cohen is a lucky man and he knows it–especially when it comes to his fairytale friendship with "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker.

For years, the pair have been spotted everywhere together, from the subway to the Hamptoms. And of course, SJP is pretty much Cohen's ticket to the Met Gala, thanks to her previous involvement in the event as chair and close friendship with the Devil in Prada herself, Anna Wintour.

Hitting the greenish carpet with SJP on Monday, May 6, Cohen gushed to People magazine that he had "the best date in the place."

"The Watch What Happens Live" host arrived hand-in-hand with SJP, and they looked like quite the dapper duo.

"I lucked out," said Cohen about SJP. "I hit the jackpot."

On Instagram, Cohen continued his praises of SJP, writing that he wore a Berluti tux. "One of the perks of my life is escorting Cinderella to the ball," he added.

Parker and Cohen started to become each other's dates to the big Gala a handful of times since 2018. And now that Parker has been to the Met Gala 12 times, she recently told Vogue that she has learned to put fashion above her own comfort.

"Your own comfort, it becomes very low priority," she said. "The priority is trying to present properly. It's your responsibility to take care of the elements, on behalf of the designer, the milliner, hair stylist, makeup artist. This year, I'll be standing."

Parker wore a dress designed by Richard Quinn to this year's Gala. As for her friendship with Cohen, the feeling is mutual, with her telling Howard Stern in 2023 that she considers their friendship "real."
